Culture Minister of Guinea-Bissau Confirms Attendance at Cubadisco 2008

Djalo Nandingna received Cuban Ambassador in the African nation Pedro Doña, to whom she handed over a letter addressed to her Cuban counterpart, Minister Abel Prieto, confirming her attendance at the Havana musical event.
Minister Djalo Nandingna said she will be on hand, accompanied by a delegation made up of singers Dulce Neves, Sanba Kanute and José Lopes -promoters of their countrys culture all over the world, who have also been awarded several gold discs.
During her stay in Cuba, María Aduatu Djalo Nandingna, who is also Minister of Youth and Sports, will meet with leaders of the Young Communist League (UJC) and sports authorities.
Ambassador Pedro Doña, for his part, recalled that Cubadisco 2008 will be dedicated to Africa and its descendants around the world. He expressed the organizers satisfaction with the participation of a delegation from Guinea-Bissau and pointed to the historical and cultural ties that unite the African nation and Cuba.
