Cuban singer Pablo Milanés to Perform at Closing of Tarragona Festival, Spain

These songs have delighted several generations of Cubans and other peoples alike, sung by Pablo Milanés himself and several other world famous artists, including Maná, Silvio Rodríguez, Joaquín Sabina, Ana Belén, Joan Manuel Serrat, Víctor Manuel, Ismael Serrano and Chucho Valdés.
Pablito, 65, has a vast artistic work, 50 years of continued work, since he first appeared on the radio program ‘Estrellas nacientes’ here in Havana in 1956, the aim of which was to discover new artistic talents.
He wrote his first song ‘Tú, mi desengaño’ in 1963. His vast work has been well received by critics worldwide.
Since the 1980s, Pablo has his own group. His songs speak of people´s feelings and emotions, their concerns, furstrations, hopes and aspirations. Milanés was awarded the National Music prize in 2005 and also won two Latin Grammys for his CDs ‘Como un campo de maíz’ and ‘AM/PM Líneas paralelas’.
