The minister, also member of the Political Bureau of the Party, accompanied by Ricardo Gonzalez Sanchez, representative of MINBAS, held a meeting with directors of the Comandante Pedro Sotto Alba Joint Company, at which they were told of the effort carried out by workers and leaders to close 2008 with new production record.

Yadira Garcia toured its infrastructure and areas that make up the expansion project, where she assessed the progress of works in hand.

The MIMBAS Minister also visited the Ernesto Che Guevara Company and talked with the factory's executives about the production plan for this year, which so far surpasses the figures initially set.

During her tour, Garcia saw the two megawatts per hour hydroelectric plant under construction here that will be linked to the National Grid soon, as well as other social projects in the Moa municipality.
