According to Granma news daily, Almeida was accompanied by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.

The new ambassadors are Banua Radja Manik, of Indonesia; Vladimir A. Astápenko, of Belarus; Jovita St. Marthe, of Saint Lucia; Tatret Anne Gnahouret, of Côte d’Ivoire; and Jean Macaron, of Lebanon.

At the end of each ceremony, the ambassadors, with their respective delegations, laid floral wreaths at the monument dedicated to Cuban National Hero Jose Mart at the Revolution Square in Havana.
