The picture work of twelve important Cuban painters such as Carlos Enríquez, Marcelo Pogolotti, Fayad Jamís, Pedro de Oraá, Samuel Feijóo and Adigio Benítez, together with giant pictures that illustrate their participation in literature, will be a luxury offer until July 7 in the Cuban Art Building.
Until next September 22, the Universal Art Building will exhibit for Spanish art followers the sample García Maroto: 20 grabados en madera, 1931, an unforgettable mark left by the Spanish artist español Gabriel García Maroto on his stay in Cuba, in the summer of 1930.
Characteristic themes of Cuban reality at the time such as the beauty of women, architectural wealth, the magic of music and dance, the spontaneity and humbleness of Cubans, are recreated in all of the xylography made by Maroto, that are exhibited since last June 6.
Other interesting offers such as Luis Eduardo Aute. Transfiguraciones 1951-2005, Los grabados del Friso del Templo Apolo Epicúreo and Samuel Feijóo: Un sol desconocido have been seen this year in the exhibition spaces from the MNBA, lead institution of Cuban and universal art in our country.
