The facility has the capacity to process up to 10,000 tons of pipes annually with the two modern technology extruder machines installed in the factory.
Located in the industrial area of Holguin city, 743 kilometers east of Havana, the factory supplies pipes of 90 to 1000 millimeters in diameter and is joined to those existing in Ciego de Avila and Havana.
Vladimir Sanchez, director of the entity, stressed that High Density Polyethylene is a plastic belonging to the group of polymers, resistant to cold temperatures, waterproof and lightweight, and its use emerged as an economic alternative to materials like galvanized iron and others..
High Density Polyethylene Tubes are being used in the renovation of networks in the cities of Camaguey, Las Tunas, Holguin and Santiago de Cuba.
