BNC sources said this is a joint project with the Teresa Carreno Theatre classical dance company, with Venezuelan ballerinas Cristina Gallardo and Cristina Amaral in the role of Giselle and Cuban Joel Carreno and Javier Torres as their partenaires in playing Prince Albretch.

As a legendary performer of Giselle, Alonso endowed the Corrali-Perrot"s choreography with a fresh touch of modernity.

Presentations will extend until August 10 with three additional performances and a photo exhibit about the BNC presence in Venezuela and Alicia Alonso"s experience in performing Giselle.
