He added that the Society of Architects of the National Union of Cuban Architects and Engineers of Construction (UNAICC, after its initials in Spanish), is also highlighting the work of the personnel with the delivery of an increasing number of diplomas to the High Level professionals and of Life and Work Awards.
He indicated that the prominence of the communitarian designers is increasing in the reanimation of the cities, focusing in the urban discipline and the conservation of patrimonial values.
He praised the city of Bayamo as a national reference in the work of architectonic rescue, especially in the historic centre and emphasized in the efficient maintenance of the work, a principle must prevail with bigger rigor in the Cuban building movement, he added.
He assured that another of priorities of the Architect Society and of the UNAICC in general, is in increasing the integral attention to the specialists who are directly linked with the execution of the works, to increase the originality of the designs, without compromising the durability.
García announced that Cuba will be next year the host nation of the Biennale Exhibition of Architecture of the Caribbean, an event created to promote the regional exchange, as a way to update the current tendencies in the sector.
