The Ministry for Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration (MINVEC) stated in a press release that those meetings will begin Monday and focus on economic, trade, scientific and technical cooperation.

Both parties will also discuss their respective programs for development of alternative energy sources.

Bulgarian Deputy Economy and Energy Minister Yavor Kuiumdjiev will lead his country's delegation, while the Cuban part is headed by Deputy MINVEC Minister Ricardo Guerrero.

According to reports, the mutual interest to increase collaboration between both countries will be reaffirmed in the meeting.

The session is expected to end July 17 with the signing of a final act and an understanding memorandum between the Bulgarian State Agency for Information Technologies and the Cuban Communication Ministry.
