The initiative includes several recreational options for the summer season and call for the most diverse people from the island's 20 cities to participate August 29 in the Night of Books to promote literature and reading, Juventud Rebelde newspaper reported.

The news was revealed during a meeting of the group, which evaluated the work carried out in a year by the UJC and Cuban Book Institute promoting the habit of reading.

The Night of Books project will attract thousands of people to these literary gatherings, in which important academics from the Caribbean nation will be also present.
