Some 1120 health professionals graduated of Healthcare in Camaguey
Among the graduates are 152 foreigners from 19 Third World nations.

Bolivian graduate Rafael Monroy told the press that his degree in Medicine is the fulfilment of a dream, thanks to the existence of a socialist Cuba.

For Elena Acosta, a retired woman from the legal sector in the city of Nuevitas, the graduation day was the happiest day of her life, her son is now among the new healthcare professionals, and his studies, like those of the rest of the students, were free of charge.

I never thought my son could be a doctor, I owe this to the Cuban Revolution, and to its leader, Fidel Castro, who gave that possibility to the Cuban people, she expressed, overcome by emotion.

After the graduation ceremony, held at the Mayor Ignacio Agramonte Revolution Square, Rogelio Villafranca told ACN that he'll begin his social service within the next few weeks, in a rural area north of Camaguey.

Some 12,300 young people study at the Carlos J. Finlay, in the aforementioned careers and Psychology, which will have its first graduation in 2009.

In the school year that has just ended, some 27,000 health professionals graduated in Cuba, the largest amount ever.
