Orlando Vergés, producer of the House of the Caribbean in Santiago de Cuba, informed the press that the event will also show documentaries about the Haitian and Jamaican dances, made popular respectively by the Nago and La Cinta groups from Ciego de Avila.
At the same time, the Brazilian Nilton Pereira, general director of the project Pernamcubano, explained that the shooting tries to show the word the similarities between the religious and musical cultures of both nations, while at the same time, create a friendly bridge between the both peoples.
Pernambuco is located in the centre east of the North east region of Brazil and its economy is mainly based in agriculture, livestock and food, chemical, metallurgical, electronic and textile industries.
