Made up by 12 youngsters - one male and eleven females, the brigade is also visiting places of historical and recreational interest, like the Bellamar Caves and the Yumurí Valley.
The program of these German brigadistas, will run until the end of August, when they will return to their country. It includes visits to museums in the city of Cardenas and meetings with members of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the Federation of Cuban Women.
In declarations to the Cuban News Agency, Laura Muro, with the local Cuban Institute for Friendship said these youngsters will also meet with representatives of the local parliament and will visit the senior citizens' home in Cardenas.
This is the second Germany-Cuba Libre Friendship Brigade that has visited Matanzas this year. The first one came to the island in March.
