The Cuban ballet company premiered this time "A la caida de la tarde" (At Sunset), by Dominican Maitre Jose Dolores Ceron.
The BNC also staged pieces from its own repertoire like A las sombras de un vals (In the Shadow of a Waltz), choreographed by Alicia Alonso and Alfonsina, based on a piece by Argentinean Poet Alfonsina Storni.
The Dominicans also enjoyed Un concierto en Blanco y Negro (Black and White Concert) by Jose Pares and Alonso's pas de deux Don Quixote.
The performance was held on the 145th anniversary of the Restoration, a key event in the long struggle to reaffirm Dominican independence.
The tour is sponsored by the Dominican Secretary of Tourism.
