Cuban Children Awarded in Regional UNESCO Contest

In drawing the second prize went to Zamir Adalberto Muñoz Hernández, aged 10, a fourth grade student from the Music Elementary School Guillermo Tomás Bouffartigue, in the Cotorro municipality, Havana City, for his work "Let us take care of world peace health ".
Coordinated by the Regional Office of Education for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO) of Santiago de Chile, it advocates for education for peace considering the contribution of scientific knowledge to the construction of a culture of peace.
The web site of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes that the objective of the contest is contributing to the design and implementation of educational politics that strengthen a democratic coexistence and a culture of people in the schools.
Also promoting the children and teenagers’ reflection and appraisal of how science contributes in the construction of a culture of peace, the stresses the note.
