The Center of Applied Linguistics (CLA) co-organizes the event along other Cuban institutions and the Univerisities Twente (Holland), Valparaiso (Chile), and Pais Vasco (Spain), Plus Innsbruck Technological Institute (Austria).
This edition will mark 60 years of non stop defense of Spanish language by Doctors Vitelio Ruiz, Academician of merit from the Cuban Academy of Sciences, and Eloina Millares, director and founder of CLA.
Since its first edition over 20 years ago, the biennial symposium promotes contact among the peoples and specialists of different branches of human communication beyond distance and language.
Among the courses on the agenda are the latest progress and enforcement of linguistic engineering by Professor Kepa Sarasola, from Pais Vasco University.
As CLA top achievements along near 40 years of work excel several student dictionaries, including an electronic version, a vaccine for misspellings and an outstanding implementation of results in socio-educational praxis.
