Director of the home Ivette Valdes told visitors that the objective of this facility is to prevent, cure and rehabilitate old people to improve the quality of their lives.

The facility, inaugurated 26 years ago in Matanzas, 62 miles east of Havana, can accommodate 159 people, who receive medical and stomatologic treatment, among other specialized services.

With this visit, the German brigade concluded their stay in Matanzas, started on August 4.

Now they are scheduled to tour Pinar del Rio, Sancti Spiritus and Cienfuegos provinces.
