This is the first visit abroad of the artists, who offered four concerts in the northern country. The themes they interpreted belong to the Cuban musical repertoire, mainly Latin rhythms.

After their debut in 1998, this band is strongly linked to culture and tourism in this province. Their repertoire includes original compositions, Cuban traditional music and different international rhythms.

Marakson has participated in the Boleros de Oro Festival for six years, as well as in the Galas of Cuban Culture. Because of their results, from the year 2002 onwards, they are part of the Catalogue of Excellency from the Music and Show Provincial Center from Camaguey .

Their work has been qualified by the National Music Institute as ‘significative for Cuban culture,” due to the harmony of their voices and the mastery of the main guitar player.
