Conceived as a non-competitive event this first time, the festival will be held annually to promote participating works, as well as exchange among authors.

Parallel to the event, there will be conferences, master classes and workshops by prestigious academics and experts, who will offer those interested useful information on the latest advances in the field.

According to the official announcement, the festival is open to all video art makers from around the globe, without age or sex distinctions. Each participant can submit one or more works, in the categories of Monocanal, Video Performance and Installation Video. Subject matter is open.

The jury will be in charge of selecting the works that will take part in this 1st International Video Art Festival in Camagüey.
