This summer no traffic accident was recorded related to recreational places, including trips to the beaches and people’s parties.
The control stations placed at the entrance of those places also brought about favourable results as well as the patrolling increase.
Until last December Ciego de Ávila, with 420 000 inhabitants and a important net of roads, had accumulated seven years of progressive descent of traffic accidents indexes.
The roads to Coco and Guillermo keys, the core of the Jardines del Rey (King’s Gardens) tourist destination, has recorded five years in a row without any dead because of traffic accidents.
