During the event, participants talked about their experiences during the summer program ‘Rutas y Andares’ (Highways and Byways), organized by the Havana Historian’s Office.
The group, their families and friends also enjoyed several audiovisual presentations dealing with historical and cultural issues, and talks on Cuba’s heritage and Old Havana’s restoration program, reports Habana Radio.
At the event, the organizers officially announced a new course on the ‘Taller de Papel Artesanal’, a workshop on the role of handcraft as well as other activities. The closing act included a performance by the theatre group "Silencio", featuring people with hearing difficulties.
The meeting, which is held every month, is open to all Cubans with hearing difficulties, their families and friends and all those interested in learning about the development of the project ‘Cultura entre las manos’.
