According to organizers, the 34th edition of the festival was attended by companies from Spain, Belarus, Mexico, Peru, Egypt and Kirgizstan, among other countries.

The Cuban group, called Telón Abierto", presented a show that depicts province's traditions, especially countryside dances from Majagua, Caribbean culture contributed by customs, songs and dances brought to Cuba by workers from Jamaica and Haiti, and Cuban contemporary popular dances.

Telón Abierto performed in Fribourg after participating in summer festivals held in Marseille, Dax, Agenau and Quillán, in France, and the Spanish region of Utrilla.
