In the ‘40s, during the danzon crisis, Arcaño’s orchestra promoted the creation of the so-called “new rhythm”, by the López brothers, whose piece entitled “Mambo”, to many researchers, carried the elements that later made up the genre spread by Pérez Prado.
Other performers such as Frank Emilio, Rubén González and Guillermo Rubalcaba; violinists like Félix Reina, among other outstanding artists, made up the roster of this orchestra that always enjoyed the popularity and respect of the public.
