It also referred to the intention of national tourist organizations to work with Japanese companies to increase the number of visitors from the Asian country to Cuba.
Havana delegation held meetings from September 18-21 with important tour operators and Japanese travel agencies interested in the proposal, and drew up medium and long term strategies.
Meetings with several airlines also took place to explore variants that link both countries.
The Cuban delegation was chaired by Miguel Figueras, assistant of the Tourism Minister, and representatives of Cubanacan Viajes, Cubatur and Havanatur travel agencies.
Cuban delegation to JATA 2008 was welcomed by Senior Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Tokio Kano.
