“Pablo en la luna con las musarañas”, by Denia García Ronda and “Un gato siberian husky”, by Josefina de Diego García Marruz released by Gente Nueva Publishing House, were two of the awarded pieces bestowed on alive Cuban authors whose works have been published in Cuba, and sold in the national bookstores.

Also awarded were “Variaciones para ágrafos” by Ernesto Pérez Chang, “La burbuja”, by Gleyvis Coro Montante, "Djuna y Daniel", by Ena Lucía Portela, "El palacio del pavo real: el viaje mítico", by Margarita Mateo and "El ojo de Alejo", by Graziella Pogolotti; all of the under the Ediciones Unión label The evaluation committee, headed by Mirta Yanez and made up of writers like Pedro de Oraá, Norberto Codina and Leonardo Sarría, decided to also award “Cuba colonial. Música, compositores e intérpretes (1570-1902)”, by Zoila Lapique Becali, from Boloña Publishing House; and “Ofelias” , by Aida Bahr, and “Otra mirada a La Peregrina”, by Roberto Méndez, from Letras Cubanas Publishing House.
