His visit is aimed at fostering traditional relations of friendship existing between Cuba and Cyprus, the daily states.

Kipryanou´s agenda in his first visit to Cuba to be ended October 1, includes official talks with his Cuban peer, meetings with other leaders of this country, and visiting sites of historic, scientific and social interest.

Kipryanou and Cuban authorities will also exchange and evaluate potentialities to develop in the economic and trade sphere.

Cuba and Cyprus established diplomatic relations on November 22, 1960.
