The working forced involved in the tobacco harvest, made up of women and men from nine Cuban provinces, is characterized by high efficiency and productivity, Ramirez Fernandez stressed.
He also underscored the workers´ commitment to recover all tobacco- curing sheds that were swept away by the strong winds associated with the two meteors, in order to kick off the harvest as soon as possible.
Havana province, the territory that surrounds the capital Havana, counts on the Lazaro Peña Enterprise, which produces 50 percent of the total wrapper leaves for export; that is a good reason to secure a good harvest this year, observers agree.
