The fair will also be dedicated to renowned writers Fina Garcia Marruz, winner of the National Literature Award, and Jorge Ibarra, and also to the Havana-based Casa de las Americas cultural center on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
The annual International Book Fair has become one of the most important cultural events in Cuba. This year’s edition, held in 42 venues across the country, was visited by more than 4.2 million people.
Nearly 235 foreign publishing houses participated this year in the fair, which was also attended by writers, publishers and distributors from 32 countries.
