The group, made up by nine nurses, a specialist in surgical units, and two doctors, one of them being an intensive care specialist, will start the cooperation with that country.

So far, the medical personnel of this province had not taken part of the solidarity brigades that have been offering their services since January 2006 in that territory located on the western side of the Persian Gulf and the north-eastern coast of the Arabic peninsula.  

The relationship between Qatar and Cuba dates back to over fifteen years. Both countries have made agreements in the economic, political and social spheres, especially in fields such as air services, education, science, television, and customs. There is a marked interest on both sides to reinforce the relationship.
