King Juan Carlos and Perez Roque also talked on the existing links between the Island and the European Union, said the official report.
In the meeting was also present the Spanish Foreign Minister, Miguel Angel Moratinos, who earlier offered a joint press conference with Perez Roque.
The head of the Cuban diplomacy also met today in Madrid with Spanish government’s first vice-president, Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega.
While talking to the press, Perez Roque thanked the Spanish people for the countless signs of help and support to Cuba after the damages caused by two recent hurricanes, which losses were estimated in five billion dollars.
Likewise he also mentioned that relations between both nations progress well with a respectful exchange about all topics.
Moratinos commented that bilateral relations advance in a satisfactory way with trust and commitment and also announced several actions in the near future.
