Mirtha Rodriguez also attended the opening of the 2nd International Meeting on Political Economy and Human Rights organized by the Universidad Popular Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo.
Rodriguez received an ecstatic reception when Hebe de Bonafini mentioned her fight to free the five young intellectuals convicted in the United States for preventing terrorist attacks against Cuba from Miami.
Rodriguez attended an event organized by the Argentina-Cuba Friendship House in Buenos Aires to collect funds to help the Island recover from damages recently caused by hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
She arrived in Buenos Aires Wednesday evening to attend different events supporting the release of the Five and is visiting Rosario on Friday to meet a group of university students.
She attended a ceremony on Thursday in the Cuban embassy to celebrate Antonio Guerrero's 50th birthday, and another organized by Argentinean singer-songwriters who are setting 32 of Guerrero's poems to music.
