Vern’s French city to pay tribute to Cuban culture

The Louis Delgrés Cultural Space and the Workshop from the sculptor Gérard Voisin, will be the venues for the encounters in the great city where Julius Vern, one of the fathers of science fiction, made his first few steps.
Activities will begin this Friday with a conference named Cuba hoy, desafíos y perspectives (Cuba today, challenges and perspectives), in charge of the Cuban Ambassador in France, Rogelio Sánchez Levis.
The exhibition called Cuba va will be inaugurated on the same day. It is made up by the work of the Italian photographer Roberto Fumagalli and with the performances of the Cuban musicians who live in Nants: Rubén and Geysa.
On Saturday, there will be presented the exhibition Pendiente (Pending) by the painter David Muguercia as well as an exhibition of old posters about Cuba by the French sculptor Gérard Voisin, UNESCO artist for peace.
Also, the cultural attaché from the Cuban diplomatic mission, Elio Fidel López, will deal with the topic Paradojas de la creatividad cultural desde el Período Especial en Cuba (Paradoxes of cultural creativity from the Special Period in Cuba).
The screening of the movie by Juan Carlos Cremata, Viva Cuba, the documentary Montaña de luz and the cultural plans of the friendship assosiations fron nants and the region of Loira Countries, will mark the end of the event.
