Investments in most airports include the repair of runways and navigational equipment, and improving comfort at airports.
As part of the 2009 development strategy, the international airport of Varadero, Cuba's major tourist resort, will be enlarged.
In addition, aircraft fleets will be renovated with new planes.
The latest actions include the modernization of Santa Clara's Abel Santamaría international airport, which included the repair of its 3,000-meter runway.
