The protocol also includes the implementation of other projects to eradicate vector-transmitted diseases. Both countries expressed their willingness to further expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of health care, education and sports by sending Cuban professionals to the African nation.
Meanwhile, the Jose Marti National Library and its Congolese counterpart also gave the first steps to encourage bilateral exchange.
Charles Zacharie Bowao, Minister of the Presidency of Congo and who is in charge of Cooperation, Humanitarian Action and Solidarity, thanked Cuba for the assistance maintained over four decades, which has resulted in the benefit of his people.
Some 2,725 Congolese professionals have graduated from different Cuban education centers, 1,752 of them concluded university courses; while 456 internationalist Cuban workers have offered their services in the African nation.
