The recognition, adds the document, will be delivered at the awarding ceremony, next 23rd of November in London, England, together with the best movies, series and shows for radio and TV of that European country.
Cuba, mi amor, is the story of a young English girl who takes part in the 1978 XI World Festival of Youth and Students held in the island and returns to the same Cuban visited places 38 years later.
The script is the second part of the Bucmanck series, written for the BBC in the 80´s.
Rodríguez directs in this western province the Centre of Documentation and Research of the Stage Arts.
He is a winner, among many others, of the Virgilio Piñera award (Cuba) and of the 2004 Royal Court Theatre award (England) and his works have been presented in Mexico, England and USA.
