The award was granted for its excellent work in the transportation of Russian tourists to Cuba, the Caribbean and Central America, specifically in 2008, when it has organized trips to Cuba of groups of more than 100 people who have travelled to the Caribbean nation to dive, fish and to participate in sports events, among others.

A delegation from ‘Sol y Son’ is currently participating in the International Leisure Fair that runs through Wednesday at the Krocus Expo in Moscow.

Other Cuban tourism groups attending the event include Havanatur, Cubatur and Habaguanex as well as the hotel chains Gran Caribe, Cubanacan and Gaviota.

Other foreign firms with hotels in Cuba such as Ibero Star, Occidental, Barcelo and Sandals are also participating.
