Vela said Cuba is in a position to send as many teachers as Angolan educational authorities may consider necessary.
Vela said that if Cuba helped Angola through its war for independence, it is only natural that we might help them now overcome underdevelopment and poverty.
One of the provinces Vela visited was Benguela where Cuban doctors run an ophthalmologic center as part of the free eye care and surgery program.
The visit to Angola by Cuba Higher Education Minister is keeping with the agreement signed last September 2007 by Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos in Havana.
