On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the foundation of this medical institution, Dr Teresita Guillen, administrator of the center, explained that this is the will that encourages workers at the hospital to increase their efforts in achieving better results.

In assessing the balance of the decade, Guillen said it meant that they had worked without a surgical waiting list for any operation since the first day and had kept up the moral collective, are among the main achievements.

The occasion was also appropitiate to highlight the work performed by the doctors in the surgical unit, which has reached nearly 65, 000 operations, including elective surgery and emergencies with the use of 25 minimum access basic procedures.

Experts also highlighted the work done by the pathology department, with an outstanding performance in the application of treatments to prevent cancer; the imaging services, the medical staff for kidney transplants, as well as the dialysis service, neurosurgery and intensive care, among others.
