Founded in November 1964, Polichinela works with puppets and combines different techniques to improve communication with children.

The company recreates traditional children's stories and creates new plays, although it also performs for adults.

Polichinela has won several awards, including prices at the festivals Máscara de Caoba in Santiago de Cuba and Tunitas in Las Tunas, and the National Theater Award.
