Zimbabwe is one of 30 African countries hosting Cuban doctors in national, provincial and district hospitals, and Cuban Ambassador Cosme Torres called them force bracing the anti-cholera drive.
The World Health Organization warned about a possible disaster since the epidemic already claimed 575 lives and caused infection of 13,000 people with the hemorrhagic fever.
The epidemic threatens to expand to neighboring South Africa and Botswana, which already reported some cases.
