Adalberto Alvarez has been awarded the National Music Prize 2008, Cuban outstanding musician who has triumphed in Cuba and abroad; belonging to Musicalia´s catalogue from Artex, he is an institution in music, title he has won with his devotion and love to this genre.
The Prize coincides with the celebration of his 60th birthday and the 36 years of artistic achievements. 2008 is a great year for El Caballero del Son, the Prize is the result of years of work dedicated to music and son, and both things are made in a very particular way for all of us who appreciate his art.
