Raul Castro was bid farewell at the Simon Bolivar international airport, in Maiquetia, by his Venezuelan peer Hugo Chavez.
His agenda here included the signing of the cooperation program for 2009 with 173 projects, 36 of them are new, valued at $201.8 billion.
Among the memorandums of understanding inked are the modernization of two refineries and the construction of another in the Caribbean island, as well as the creation of software production in areas of information technology and telecommunications.
