Vaillant pointed out the importance of strengthening ties for the spreading of traditions and customs in gastronomy services, an inseparable part of Santiago identity.
Lectures on culture of this eastern large city and the country, the development of artistic and literary activities and the use of El Caseron Journal to publish issues on the art of cooking are planned to take place, ACN Cuban News Agency reported.
The representative of the Culinary Association said that the agreement with UNEAC is signed in a good moment, since Santiago de Cuba city will host an International Gastronomic and Culinary Festival in 2009, event where culture with its different manifestations will have its own space.
