The participants at the event, to close on December 18, are representing 50 institutions from 19 countries, according to Radio Rebelde online. The four workshops to be held will focus on environmental biotechnology, chromatographic techniques, quality management in analytical labs and medicine design, the source added.

Issues linked to biotechnology, teaching of chemistry, chemical engineering, and environmental, analytical, inorganic, and organic chemistry will be presented.

Higher teaching centers from Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Italy organized the conference.
