Cuban films will be screened in the most important 2009 movie festivals of all continents, including the United States, where an exhibition of the island´s cinema will tour San Diego, New York, Los Angeles and the Lincoln Center, among others.

There will also be a panorama of the development of the seventh art in the island in most of Latin American countries, among them the Guadalajara film festival and that of the Icaro Central America, underway in Guatemala.

"Our most emblematic films will be also screened in Panama, and television will broadcast Cuban motion pictures for a week," Molina said.

The homage for the ICAIC´s 50th anniversary will also include the prestigious European cinema festivals and, in case of Africa and Asia, despite the geographical distance and economic situation, echoes of these celebrations will be felt, Molina concluded.
