The CNB arrived in the Greek capital on December 19 with a program that included the classics Don Quixote and Giselle with excellent performances by Anette Delgado, Viengsay Valdes, Joel Carreño, Romel Frometa, Elier Bourzac, Yanela Piñera, Amaya Rodriguez, Javier Torres and Ernesto Diaz.

This was the CNB´s third visit to Greece. The others took place in 1981 and 1983.

The prestige of the CNB and Alicia Alonso grew in Greece after their first presentation there in 1981 at the Licabetus Theater, near the Acropolis.
