According to the producer Jorge Luis Sánchez (El Benny), one of the sponsors, he assured that on this occasion the competition-festival will be dedicated to the Half Century of Cuban Cinema in the Revolution.

According to the bases for the announcement, they will be competing in three sections: New Producers, The Others Sight and the Poster Competition. The bases point out that the Exhibition will favor the screening of those movies that undertake risks in the search for new languages.

Pieces might be presented in the following formats: 35 mm, 16 mm DVCAM, Mini-DV and VHS. A jury, whose decision will be irrevocable, will grant the awards: New producers, Best fiction, Best documentary and Best animation, each one of them including three thousands pesos.

In the case of The Others Sight there will be a single award given to the specialty they might wish to highlight, and it will consist in the insertion, as a merit in a production of the ICAIC.

The competing movies in both competitions should be presented in a VHS or DVD format.

In the Posters competition, New Designers, that hopes to stimulate new sights in the work of national poster making in serigraphy, there might be presented as many posters as they desire.

The single Prize will consist of 500 Cuban pesos.

The exhibition also invites, Cuban scriptwriters and directors, who are less that 35 years old to present their scripts that combine a high aesthetical value with a low budget financial scheme so that the production of movies might be found and agreed through a pitching with audio-visual producing companies in a total or joint-production system.

Within the Exhibition, in the Moving Ideas category, there will be also offered master lectures, a cross-generation dialogue, movie debates, theoretical encounters and exhibitions.
