Over the last three years, the region's physiotherapy and rehabilitation services have treated more than 200,000 patients.

The network of rehabilitation wards covers all ten municipalities in Ciego de Avila, including faraway areas whose residents had to travel long distances to receive that kind of medical care.

It is worth noting that Ciego de Avila has a score of rehabilitation wards equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly-skilled professionals.

Rehabilitation services include natural medicine, podiatry, speech therapy, mechanotherapy, laser, ultrasound, acupuncture, electro-therapy and infrared treatments.
