The agenda for the members of the European contingent, whose visit was arranged by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), also included their participation in celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Revolution.

Yesterday they visited the Museum of the Revolution, took part in a marathon and toured several community projects in Havana neighbourhoods, said ICAP.

The Nordic Brigade was the second to offer unconditional support to Cuba after the triumph of the Revolution and also expressed its solidarity in the wake of devastation caused by three recent hurricanes.

The group was made this time of 168 members from seven countries, who stayed for a month at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, in Caimito, Havana.
