This theater group made an artistic tour headed by Carlos Alberto Cremata which first began in Seville, Spain and ends tonight in the land of José Saramago, after putting A Cinderela segundo os Beatles on stage at the Teatro Sa da Bandeira, in Santarem.
These performances were sponsored by the Chambers and authorities of the cities visited, the Cuban Ministry of Culture, the Cuban ambassy in that Cuba-friendly country.
“La Colmenita”, as an Ambassador of Goodwill of The United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF), has been favorably received with its outstanding performances like La Cucarachita Martina( Martina, the Little Cockroach) and Cinderella.... according to The Beatles which were translated into Portuguese.
“One again La Colmenita” visits and fascinates Portugal!” reported several newspapers.
Joaquin Beníte, an well known Portuguese theater actor and playwright, said “This idea is quite original: to mix the universal tradition of Cinderella with the Beatles music. The show is a wonderful experience of energy, color and movement, with the striking performance of little-big artists that create an atmosphere that only children can offer. La Colmenita is an hymn of imagination and hope”
